ok,i OCed mine last nite using the OC software that came with my mobo(havnt tried oc in bios yet, unsure what to adjust),pushed it to just under 2.4mhz and got 5.45s using percys cornell test, with 1gig ram(NEED MORE!!!),temp- 40c.
i then set the OC software back to 2.2 and got 6.8s ,temp 37c.
after that i closed down the software and got 5.56s!!

didnt think the OC software would make that much difference just ticking over in background not being used...
so what do adjust in bios to get it to 2.4mhz?

daforce, what temps are you getting now the x2 is in and running?

                  jow:
I wouldnt use OC software...they are generally shit. Bios is "the" best way to do it. Sure you gotta learn abit before you dive in but it pays off.
One thing you should do if you havnt already.. is update your motherboards bios, can make things run alot better.

Temps stay around 38-42c Even when rendering or 100% usage the temp doesnt really change. kinda funky but meh fine by me
Still gotta wait for the Artic Silver to reach its idle state, temps should drop a fair bit more.

Percy, i think he may have been just getting your name from your forum name
hehehe I did chuckle abit when you said Capital! didnt quite know what you meant at first.. LOL ahh dear

                      Quite well thanks.
Although its quite noisy now cause my PSU isnt on thermal control i dont think so its at full tilt and i think one of my case fans is on full tilt.
But cpu fan is only at around 1300rpm.

Plus my primary disk is noisy so i need to replace it, might get a raptor just for a speedy C drive... not sure yet.

But apart from that, no crashing or oddities that i have noticed and its running pretty quick. Benchmark was fairly quick...ahh oo yeah that little trick to get my current windows 2k install recognize my 2nd core worked a treat

                      oohh yeah Capitals!!

                      LOL

Ok once everything is installed and up and running your windows 2k will still think its a single cpu machine.
                          So,

Our new x2 rack mount render box will be here tomorrow!
It has been a really inexpensive render box option, and the fact that you can get it into a 2u case is very appealing!

ive ditched the software.done a bit of homework on it and it seems abit dodgy, causing lots probs so bye bye oc software.
do you know any good sites on clocking?
biggest thing ive found is dont push the volts above 1.6v using air cooling, but with water..some people are getting x2s up to 3mhz!!!

                              ok enlighten me,Capital??
