      flipflops are my girlfriends and the tripod with the webcam is actually pointing at the wall where i have a pegbar attached. i use the webcam for inputting pencil tests with traditional animation. the nice scanner was bought for the purpose of doing traditional animtion. ya gotta have an autofeeder when doing that.

          Here's my 'renderfarm' which is made of:
          - my workstation (desk on the left)
          - my laptop
          - my mom's pc
          - a friends pc

          But it works!

              Thats the suckah that gets hot. Frames dont seem quite as high as i would have hoped, not sure if its the card or something...meh..
              What do you get in 3dmark05 with that card dude?
              I get the following:

              CPU info - AMD Athlon 64 4000+ Clawhammer at 2.61Ghz

              3D Mark 2003 - 15,390

                Nice scores Mate.

                I get similar, but i think ur cpu speed helps a little.

                3dmark03 = 15299
                That was using my older Athlon 3000+ at stock speeds (1.8ghz)
                So i reckon that was holding it back a fair bit.

                3dmark05 = 7600
                This was on the x2, but everything stock.

                Odd thing is 3dmark03 and 05 pick up the VGA memory clock as 1197mhz and the VGA core clock at 275mhz.
                These are far below the stock specs, but it may just be reporting it wrong.
                If i give the card a little OC its jumps to 8200 in 3dmark05.

                  I have been affrad to Oc My card....as I have heard of bad things happening because of it. But I have been very intrested in doing it.... Do you know a good program for ocing the 7800's? I was going to just up the pci slot but that wont show me what the Mhz on the GC are!
                  Thanks

                    As long as your overclock in moderation everything should be peachy...
                    This is what you need
                    http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=815

                    Not only does it unlock a handy overclocking tab but a few more options for opengl and direct3d as well.

                    It even has a button where it will find the best overclock possible for you. Im not sure how accurate this is as it changes a little each time you do it. But its certainly a good starting point.

                        well I OC'ed my 7800 GT from 445Mhz to about 484Mhz and kept it stable throught 3Dmark 03 and 3Dmark 05, it is amazing what about 40Mhz of core clock can do on this bad boy. I also pushed my CPU to 2.71Ghz. After this test I rolled things back 25% less as GPU was getting a bit hot, "around 78C" so now It is running about 57C at full load and my CPU has never peaked 57C. It is now at 2.64Ghz and runs at about 44C under a full load. Ideals around 38C thanks to my Artic Cooler, that thing works like a champ

                        3DMark 03 - 16,080

                        3DMark 05- 8,128
                        Thanks

                            Very Much healthy, I like what CoolBits opens up, I kept trying to hit 500Mhz core clock, but it kept failing so I rolled it back to a more stable setting, I did get the Memery to 1.28Ghz
                            Thanks
