  • Yep know about sli/crossfire.. thats obvious.

So you can mix and match without any driver install problems? (for quad monitor usage)

Yeah its zero performance increase in max, but now days its starting to work well in games, but not all games benefit from it tho.

Still IMO better to stick with one uber card, than 2 less cards. UNLESS multi monitor (more than 2) is your requirement.

    • LOL....sick cow......
What I really want is the setup that Hugh Jackman had in Swordfish. Of course along with Halle Berry nude would kick it up a notch.

            • hmmm that is pretty weird... no I cant say I have ever seen that before.
What happens if you drop another texture on there.. say a plain vray or 3dsmax one. does it go away?

Are you using opengl or direct3d?

                  • My 680W PSU is underpowered now for my PC, when I have all my HDD's plugged in and I play a couple of stressfull games the computer will just shutoff.
After unplugging a couple of HDD's I was able to play games without problems for a few hours.
Which is weird as the problem only recently started.. lol

                    • Unregistered - yes - I wasn't going to port license from my old PC until I knew it was working 100% - but will try and do that today.

If this is the case, Autodesk should warn you about this - been troubleshooting like mad...

                        • No... its a fresh max8 & max9 install - with just Vray and Onyx trees installed.

Sometimes it also swaps two textures around - and it all happens when I navigate the viewport (zoom, orbit etc.)

Also notice the green Y in the left hand top corner on example 2 - thats the viewport label gone as well

                          Missing DLL - interesting...

I'll try registering first, see if that solves anything - jacks02, you were serious, or?
