Vray future

    Well, V-Ray needs to be specifically compiled for Linux on PS3; the current Linux build is compiled for Intel-compatible processors only, which the PS3 processor is not. However, it is an interesting thing to see if it can be done...

        having not read all of the posts I will say this:
        I think the future of vray or any kind of renderer is a standalone. Such as maxwell or fry. Look at the platforms they support. Yes pretty much none of them are as well intergrated as vray in max, but I think by having the renderer as a standalone, it allows the have this dynamic pipeline, where the developers can completely change the render core, without affecting its intergration into other apps.
        Now about the future, I would very much hope that the realtime rendering in vray comes a long way. Imo the realtime rendering is the new hip thing
