yeah hopefuly.. mine is a launch day console as well.

My Boss bought one about 6months ago? maybe longer and he is on his 3rd one now. First one was too noisy or something like that ( he is rather picky) and sounded abit weird. 2nd one had the video all breaky up.. like would go all green and whack looking.

Yeah mind you even my old NES needed a dust off or tinker to get working. Playstation one had it share of problems as well.

Well im of to finish Hephaestus now.. just gotta drop the bomb I think.

Yeah. Then again the games were a bit smaller and had a little less code.

I finally took down my first two Big Daddies last night; although I might go back and try the second another way.

Later on when you get more powerfull they become rather easy. But still if you slip up and they get a few hits in... yyeeeaaaooouuccchh

Hell yeah! After the first I had to reload and do it again, and again; getting pummeled by a Bouncer is just plain funny though. Luckily they're not the brightest bulb in the pack though. Then again, it's not like they need to be; they don't need to dodge much.

The player can be drunk, I love this game ^^

The player doesn't take his time with his bottles alcohol, he downs them in 3 seconds, also smokes a packet of cigarettes in 3 seconds. Guess I would too in a place like that.

The other night as I was playing (it was about midnight) I heard a womans voice. I was pretty sure it was a female splicer talking off screen so I kept looking around for her. It was actually my wife who had woken up and was just wondering if I was ever planning to go to sleep. But damn if she didn't sound just like one of those splicers off screen muttering something to herself.
To be fair I did think the splicer sounded nicer than usual.

Well I just loaded a save from all the way back in Fort Frolic (right near the end tho, just before I kill sander) So I could NOT kill him just yet and play thru Hephaestus, Rapture Central Control and Olympus Heights to get back to where I was. Turns out killing him at that point is not such a good idea if you want to get all access to a special room of his and there is a power to the people machine there.
Turns out it wasnt such a bad idea tho to reload, As it means I get 99% of achievements first run thru (wont get the finish it on hard achievement) and I had missed out a special teddy in Fort Frolic that I hadnt picked up at the gathers garden so was short a couple hunderd Adam, so that was a bit of a bonus as well.
But still sucks have to play thru a couple hours of game..AGAIN

I managed to research all splicers and all bots cameras turrents, rosies, bouncers and little sisters for the Research PHD

Brilliant game... just cant say it enough.. so amazing. The quality .. detail.. and sheer enjoyment the game provides is top notch.

Enough ranting and raving, time to sleep... perchance to dream.. about bioshock of course

Wooh you have already finished the game, I received my collector edition this morning

Funny thing, in french, Atlas's voice is the same that Doyle's voice in Far Cry

Nah not finished yet.. but getting close. Little bit of a set back. But should have it all sorted in another 5 hours tops I reckon.

I finished Half life yesterday in work... things were a bit slow
I have just installed BioShock on my pc at home and have a couple of hours this afternoon to start playing. I am really excited!!

In relation to the alternate language edition of games I accidently bought a German copy of Rogue Squadron on GC a few years back and that was really funny to hear the german voices actors saying all the familiar Star Wars quotes in another language.

"Rot 5, stehend bereit!!!!"

I am in Arcadia

It's interesting to save the little sisters, after, they give you some gifts, the first was 300 ADAM, 1 plasmid and anti-armor bullets.

I just got into Arcadia and was welcomed by my first Houdini. I'm still not thrilled about getting my weapons back after Peach and finding that they were missing most of the ammo.

It's still a shame that they decided not to toss in some sort of multiplayer aspect. Then again, I guess it's a good thing that they focused on the main game and didn't include a half-ass multiplayer like many others have.
