  • actually, it HAS been hacked....I've not tried the new disc image, but there's two out there that I know of so far. I usually crack all my single-player games....keep the disc as original as possible

as for this copy-protection sidebar, yeah, i'm not a fan, but they have to TRY to protect their investment somehow, and when you buy their product, you should be willing to accept the EULA that comes with it. Everything comes with a string attached anymore....

    • Yeah securom is a popular protection scheme used in alot of games.. its not that bad really.. now starforce that is a killer. The amount of junkit installs is just horrible, be glad they didnt use that.

However that too was cracked. And as Matt said so has bioshock.

I do believe the super restrictive limited installs option is kinda stupid tho THAT I dont approve of, copy protection sure.. but limiting a games use.... nah no dice.

        • yeah the houdini's are damn cool. Gotta a couple of snaps of them in mid transform. hehe.. later on you get a tonic which allows you to see their trails for longer so you know where they will spawn.. looks really good!!

          mmm must go play now.

          • there is no need for securom with the steam version.

and why isnt securom uninstalled with the game? those two points stick out for me.

            • Well, I just played the demo on my brothers 360 last night and I am astonished!

Its the most intense and believable game experience ever. I can't put my finger on it but there is something in the environments they have created which give it a feel of actually being there rather than being a flying camera with arms/guns.

I am so very impressed, I can't believe that I havn't heard about this game until about a month ago. I can only hope that going forward, all games come to approach the quality of this game world.

                    • DaForce. About how long do you expect the game is? I really need to get my priorities straight and invest more time on the 360!

                      • Well im trying to do everything in one hit. Not leaving a stone unturned. So atleast 20-25 hours I reckon.

                        • i've had a few odd experiences with my game last night.....extra little sisters, tonics that weren't there before, areas of fort frolic I could find NO way to get into....like the stairs down from Poseidon Plaza. I had to replay that area twice because I couldn't put the last picture into the frame.

I don't mind extra little sisters, becuase, hey, extra adam! But when I went to leave the area, it kept telling me there were more little sisters to be found, of which I'd already dealt with one more than should have been there, so I spent an extra 30min or so just wandering/following big daddies/etc. I eventually moved on....

The extra tonics in my inventory I'm just chalking up to not paying attention when I search a body, even though I should have received the message about acquiring said new tonic and allowing me to implement it in an existing slot.

                          Still loving this experience immensely!

                          • The stage after Fort Frolic, Hephaestus, is a cool stage, a climax in the story. Get ready to kindly pound some Big Daddies ...

                            • Sweet. I tend to play fairly methodically through games so it's good to know that I'll have time to savor this one.

                              • Just finished fort frolic last night. Kept trying to go to sleep but I had to keep playing. Got into Hephaestus I love the way you can anticipate the big daddies, you hear them getting closer and closer then their footsteps. Usually by this point in a game I am really bored with killing the same characters over and over and going through a pretty familiar setup but I am still into this. I am not much of a gamer I bought the 360 because I thought it would have games that had a new type of gaming experience and I have been pretty let down so fa. Some aspects of some games have been fun but this is the first one I have been engrossed in.
