20gb of RAM but windows is still swapping !!!!

Hi Olly. The old style file menu can be found in customize - customize user interface - menus. Select main menu bar on the right, then drag the file menu over to the main menu bar box on the right. The "file" menu will now be accessable from the max toolbar.

The update did seem to help the swapping and memory usage.

I already said that after restoring the old-File menu, the number crashes decreased.
But I discovered another thing:
When I exit the program from the X button on top-right corner, I usually got a crash (although I close the program)
Now I am trying to turn it into a habit of exiting the program from the old-File menu and no more crashes.
Strange but true.
I think that large title bar with the large 3dsmax icon is causing most of the crashes.
