I must say I'm in the same situation, I find 2012 very stable and reliable to work with. apart from some minor problem, which are very predictable and kind of easy to work around, it's a fine release. never found a good reason to install 2013 though, especially after reading some of the initial reaction to it. I guess the major issues are long solved by now, but there doesn't seem to be any feature that I miss in 2012 and justify the switch. I'll wait till 2014 is released and maybe do the jump then.

I eventually moved to 2012, and got to like it, no big headaches really. But recently went to 2013 and it seems a bit more stable, much faster viewport behavior, and can support of linking Revit files.
I was thinking of waiting, but if I skip two releases, I'd have to pay a lot more to upgrade at that point than if I'd remained on subscription for those 2 years...hate it, but it's probably my largest operating expense, so I remained subscribed again

If AD were going to buy these plugins and scripts like as they did polyboost, it'll be useful too.
