Would be nice if part of the award is invested in improving the Blender archviz pipeline.

My daughter is about to start learning Blender at high school, I'm going to get her to teach me as she learns. I just hope that they start with 2.8 as they have already stated that once the course starts they wont be upgrading again later.

there's some painful realization that eventually it will be a majority choice for serious anime work...while were at it - I'd like to explore vraytoon some more..

But thinking of converting all my assets from Max and vray to blender is painful, even with the max to blender script...

                You're right. Completely understandable.
Probably if Chaos will support more Vray4Blender, the pain will be lower. At least with materials and render settings.

                  That's the point !
I would like to see today Vray for blender as Vray for 3ds max
Blender being an integral part of the future, 3dsmax integral part of the past.... (except for ADSK !)

For everyone that is waiting for a ForestPro-like solution, there is this addon that should be released soon that it seems interesting.

At the moment, it seems the most advanced tool available in Blender for these kind of needs
