Let me quote your earlier post which i was replying to to some extend without explicitly saying so:
How are people so positive on that link, it`s like propaganda or mind control. At least you brought 1 voice of dissent. I`m willing to bet the double click UI bug isn`t fixed, their own release notes list 3 fixes. Yay ?
You literally claimed everyone not sharing your point of view or not having your problems would be either mind controlled or propaganda. I pretty much share your request that Max works as expected. And i agree that this is not the case in many areas.
What i just don't understand is people complaining about too many bugs being fixed (!) as it happend earlier in this thread.
And people complaining about Bifrost coming to Max after it was the #3 requested feature. You may not need it, and i don't either,
and it may hurt Chaos, but many people voiced that request.

I did not mean to ignore issues or legitimate complaints and there is valid reason the latter. But i see few of them. Sorry, that came across wrong.

    Cheers,
    Thorsten

Sorry guys, I'm new to the 2018 version and I don't understand if these product updates substitute the service pack or not.
In the support area of the autodesk website I haven't found any service pack for 2018 but someone mentioned here that this product update contains also bug fixing. So this PU substitute SP?

      thanks in advance.

There are only PUs now. No more SPs or Extensions. Here's the blog post introducing this change: https://area.autodesk.com/blogs/the-...-2018-update1/

Hehe, no I mean that in general on those sorts of posts it seems like everyone has a `special` copy of 3dsmax that never seems to do anything wrong and people seem to support whatever announcement is given like they`re just happy to be there. It`s like that phrase `preaching to the choir`. I`m just jealous, where`s my copy of 3dsmax that`s all made of golden roses ? I`d be much happier if I was over there with them.

If you find any issues with 3ds Max, please report them on the Area. There are 2 main ways that the developers get feedback about issues that come up outside of the beta program. The first is CER logs, make sure to submit those please if you ever have crashing issues. Some issues don't cause a crash or generate CER windows and for those it's important to start a thread on the Area and please let someone know. Every time a new thread about a specific issue is started, a link to that thread will be created in the tracker by myself or another support person. This is one of the better ways to demonstrate the severity of an issue if a CER report isn't generated. The more links that show in the tracker, the easier it is to point at the number of people affected and have something looked at more closely. One person reporting something may be a system issue, but if 10 people report it then it's probably not.

I have logged numerous issues from this forum into the tracker for Max that I had literally no idea about prior because those issues were not reported on the Area and they didn't generate crash reports. I can't spend too much time here while on the clock and while I realize the Area isn't a browsing site for many of you, it is the best place to get these issues heard. We all want the same thing, I promise. Thank you all very much.

              Best,
              AJ
