V-Ray Future Hair/Fur Plans?

I have been giving the V-Ray demo a go for a while now (for Maya) and I have to say I love it. I do have a concern though, and I am sure you have hundreds of people asking about this. I am curios to know the time-line and or possible plans for Maya Hair/Fur support within a reasonable amount of time. This is a major aspect for me, and it would be comforting that It is in development before purchasing.

We plan to have both; VRayFur is a simple and effective tool in many cases; for character design obviously the Maya hair and fur tools are superior.

Any updates on hair support? My finger is literally hovering over the buy button. Hair/Fur is critical for me at this point.
