  • V-Ray animation flashing?

    Hello,
Im just testing v-ray and it`s great. But I test allso short animation strip and it seem flashing little bit like filming old camera. How I get that flashing out of animation? Can someone help me my (perhaps) silly problem?

Can you post an example? Sounds like an authorization problem.

      Yes

There is a test.avi which is compressed DivX 5.1.1 Codec.

      http://sinuhe.jypoly.fi/~a8517/v-ray/test.avi

in scene is only a plane and vray renderer settings are simple no default lights, Adaptive subdivision and indirect illumination: irradiance map.

to be honest you shouldnt have serious flickering like that ..... you need to contact chaos and reauthorise your copy of vray

if by reauthorise you mean buy, then yes that would be the best course of action.

              IMHO

I have to say, I was not aware that you had to purchase the full version to get rid of the flickering. I was trying out the Free and Demo versions and did not like the flicker, so I moved on and did not purchase VRay. Bad marketing IMO. Or is there another reason for this?

Surely there should be a notice somewhere letting the users know (people who are testing out the free/demo version) that the flickering *will* go away upon purchase of the licensed versions.

Interesting statement, as in the demo version there shouldn't be that specific kind of flickering - this is an authorisation issue, that happens if you use a wrong authorisation (like 99% of all "cracked" copies). For the demo, you don't need any authorisation as it is always authorized (only timelocked). For other restrictions of the demo you can check www.vrayrender.com.

There's an error in your logic

It's the CRACKED Version that flickers
