I guess you already checked that the file is existing on the path from the error?

Are you using 3dsmax backburner or some form of distributed rendering?

Is the cosmos folder mapped to a network location or is it local?

Please note that V-Ray nightly build will try to auto-download when cosmos resources are missing (if that's the case at all).
This functionality will be available in the next/coming official releases.

        Best Regards,
        Kostadin Terziev

I still think cosmo should by default install in the Public directory. This would avoid all the user issues, especially with render farms where the farm user is unlikely to be the same as the workstation user. Every windows machine has the public directory in the same place.

I just always copy the resources to each project folder, as I want them archived with the project rather than in some system wide directory.

Would be nice if when you add something from Cosmo it had the option to copy the assets to the current project directory tree automatically.

That message is normal because Max itself can’t read TX files. Annoying as hell, though.
