  • Fading in Objects in Vantage ?

    Afternoon.
I have a Master Plan site Model,
want to animate and fade in the different Phases as It rotates.

Normally I would adjust the properties from 0 to 1.
But iI don't seem to have that option in Vantage.
Can somebody advise on how to do this please.

    Thank you

    Phil

Hi, thanks for posting. Could you give us a visual example of what you are trying to do? Are you using Live Link? Are you using 3ds Max?

Yes, I am using live link.
So literally, fade an object from nothing to Visible over 50 frames. Nothing fancy.

Hi, this improvement idea is already logged in our system under LAV-1163. As of now Vantage reads the visibility only as "0" or as "1" and the plan is to improve this so we can render the whole range for a smooth fading effect. Please check this thread as well.

Yes that's what I have found, fully visible of nothing.
So I could render it with Refraction turned down but the blocka always reflect inside, so What setting do i use to get a just plane block, and not a glass one, if you get my meaning.

Hi, if you set your material's IOR to 1 it should work.
