    Hi Alexander,

I too would like to contribute to the significance of this topic as well. As a Sketchup, Vray and Vantage user it would be great to be able to import pre made vrscene files objects into a larger vrscene file opened in Vantage. Vantage is incredible and saving me time in so many ways. Keep up the great work

Adding additional vrscenes in Vantage is currently possible. You can use the FIle>Import or drag'n'drop the vrscene in the viewport. Then you can filter what to import from that scene - lights, materials, geometry, cameras. You can do this multiple times.
We are currently in development for the support of this feature and it will be available later this year.

      Best regards,
      Alexander

Hey man, sorry to bump this one again. The request has been made 2 years ago. Any info on when we can expect this?
At the moment we have to manually re import all of the vrscene assets used in sketchup again in Vantage. It is REAAAALLY time consuming. We can't even use the live link because of this, the items are just not there at all.

        Keep up the good work!

          Hi vanja_uri,

We have implemented the nested vrscene support internally. We will include it in some of the next releases but cannot say which one.

          Best regards,
          Alexander

BUMP. This didn't make the cut for 2.0 then? I have a scene with VRscene objects within it, but when I export that 'master' scene to Vantage the VRScene objects don't show up.

              Hi thomas_bussey,

The nested VRscene is supported with Vantage 2.0. Can you please send us the project so we can investigate what is not working in your case?

              Best regards,
              Alexander

Hi Alexander, please see the attached. For me, with live link, the VRscene object doesn't render.

Or did you want me to raise a ticket?

                  Hi thomas_bussey,

It is working for me on my end, both with Live link and vrscene: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1JeEu...a8ae1cL19n-Ukh
Does it render properly with V-Ray? Maybe the path to the vrscene is not accessible or has access restrictions.

                  Best regards,
                  Alexander

Yep renders fine in Max, CPU, GPU or IPR.

Are there any particular export requirements for vantage? Same user, I've check that vantage is being allowed through firewall (it wasn't but that doesn't seem to have fixed) Path is just just my desktop, so it should be alright!?

ah flippin' 'eck. I've been using 1.8 all this time (only downloaded it to test and trial)

                      Upgraded and now it works!

Well now I have another odd one, many of the VRobject references are getting partially transformed when I import. Maybe this is something to do with the hierarchy, but they display and render fine in the source file.

Also works correctly if I bring the VRscene of the buildings straight in to Vantage, but there's obviously no transform, and the lack of an align tool makes them impossible to position with any accuracy.

I can't actually even find how to display world position, can only get local/world offset currently, otherwise I could just copy and paste the world positions to the directly imported reference.

Ok, here's a simplified version of the issue. one VRScene object at origin, one transformed - both referenced to the same VRScene file. I export these to a new VRscene to capture the transform in max and the Railclone elements of the building on the one with the transform (pretty much everything but the floor slab) gets what looks like a double transform (i.e. offset again and rotated another 45 degrees)

By VRobject I guess you mean VRayScene ?
Where do you import them, in 3dsMax or Vantage ?

Maybe this is something to do with the hierarchy, but they display and render fine in the source file.
I don't quite understand what you mean by "but they display and render fine in the source file".
Do you mean that the scene renders correctly in V-Ray, but not in Vantage ?

Can you attach or send us a max scene file (with the referenced vrscenes) that renders incorrectly in Vantage ?

In Vantage you can right-click on the Move/Scale/Rotate tool in the top toolbar and you will get transform type-ins similar to those in Max. The values are Coordinate type dependent so you can switch between World and Local: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1bp4O...o1po98olJC19fP

Thank you for the reproduction. I have logged in our system and we will inform you when we have a fix for it.
