  • smoke hitting grid edges - simulation falloff ?

    Is there a way to change the opacity of the smoke towards the edges of the sim ? Almost like a falloff on the edges of the sim that can be adjusted ? similar to gizmo falloff ?

    I think I have found it...FADE OUT in the render parameter.

        I tried this but it doesn't seem to work. Render of the smoke still goes up to simulation boundaries.

          Hmm, with a simple scene here it works - note that it's in voxels, so you might need a bigger value. Does it work with this scene? smoke_fadeout.zip

                  Looking at the image in the first post, it might be helpful if we were able to set variable FadesOuts for all six sides of the box. So the bottom does not fade away if you want soft sides only .
