So if I understand you correct, right now the interaction between the liquid and glass is correct when use mesh?

yes, except two points that may be our problem or problem of the glass mesh, still not sure.

Okay, looking forward to hear what the problem was/is.

the mesh is ok, now the rendering seems ok, if you want you can try the latest nightly. still trying to simulate with extremely high conservation in order to have natural underwater bubbles, but if this is not possible, the foam particles are good enough

Right now the sequence is locked, I think my coworkers might kill me if I go and change something now. But as soon as possible, I will give it another go.

Okay, so i had a chance to run the sim again. Same settings as a previously used.

I have no idea what happens with the mesh render. I change the mode to mesh and unclick cutter geometry and inverse cutter.

what is this yellow object in front of the camera? i think it's the liquid mesh, but somehow changed
btw, to have good liquid-glass rendering in mesh mode, you have to use the cutter exactly like like in implicit mode.

The yellow mesh is nothing i have added. The only thing i changed was the things i wrote. Before when I used the cutter in mesh-mode, it would give me weird lines in the mesh.

I can loose the weird yellow stuff, if I move the sim to a clean scene. I have no idea what it is and i have seen it before. Usually when i'm working in a scene, update phoenix and resim. Then in mesh-mode it gives that result.

Overall it looks a lot better now.

i think i have idea what is it. phoenix creates hidden objects that represent the particles, in order to use the convenient 3dsmax automation like unde/redo, save in file, UI, etc. sometimes (not clear how) the scenes get broken and these objects may start represent the liquid mesh instead the particles

I did an animation of it, overall it is better. But it gives me a couple of frames with lines in them...

Using mesh and the glass as a cutter-object.

i rendered about 200 frames with no lines, but will start it again with full range

it's not happening here, but i think i know the reason, i think the past part of the fix was added after your build , try to update and tell us the result.

Will I need to resim it, or can I just re-render it?
