    Hello,

Couldn't reproduce this issue here - first thing that comes to my mind is if you could check your Documents\3dsMax\scenes\Untitled_Phoenix2_frames folder and see if there are any cache files left there from a previous sim.

Would it be possible to save the scene right before you delete the sim and the crash and attach it here? Also - are you using a V-Ray or a defscanline Phoenix build?

    Thanks!

Hmm, still can't get it to crash. Will install Octane and try again, could be a compatibility issue.

The Phoenix toolbar is still work in progress - soon there will be icons and the rest of the buttons will function

Will update you on the crash when I find out more.

        Cheers!

Pardon the hijack, but may be related.
I got the same crash on Max 2017 new install with Vray 3.40.01 new install and June 7 nightly 26807.
Now using June 12 nightly 26821 and can run sims okay. Whatever you did helped!

True that - there was a compiler bug for Max 2017 only which was fixed before 10 Jun, so looks like a separate issue.
