In other words: when using the same texture and the same parameters, both shaders give the same output ? Do both shaders have the same controllers ? What's the resolution of the supplied textures ? Are both Backburner and distributed rendering supported ?
Yes these two materials have the same controllers, the difference is in the presets. You could create the same looks with both by using custom maps.
Textures are 1024px for the wood and 512px for the linoleum.
Backburner and DR works fine as long as the materials are installed on the rendernodes and the maps are accessible.
i really like the new materials !! although i know a lot of materials it´s really a pleasure to work with the interface. well done !! and i can understand torgier...he did so much for free for the community that it´s more then okay to bring his knowdledge to business. and the price is also fair !! keep on...looking forward to seeing more from simian !!
150$ for materials that are just frontends to the standard vray material
is a bit .. expensive
Do they at least contain accurate physical, transmission, reflectance
values like some Lightscape Materials ?
Than a package like this would make sense !!
Otherwise even an intermediate user should be able to make such shaders
with some clicks !! No offence but I don´t see anything special expect a frontend !!
