  • Chaos Group announces V-Ray 1.5 RC2 for immediate download

1.5 RC2 for MAX80 is available right now for download for the registered users in the support section of our website. This build will work fine on max70 as well as max60. We will have separate installations for those prepared in a couple of days.

We are planning to have the dongles available for the final release of V-Ray 1.5. We will do our best to provide as many dongles as we can prior to that, but as we have to process thousands of requests - it may take us a while to have them shipped.

For detailed information on the new features please read the readme file that comes along with the build or go to this page:
    http://www.chaosgroup.com/news/#72

As usual - any questions, problems or comments send to vray@chaosgroup.com or post them here.
    Peter

You can try again in a while. If it still doesn't work, can you send me an email or a private message with your login details so that we can check it out. I can download it just fine, but one never knows...

          Best regards,
          Vlado

Yep, that would be the same as the 3dsmax 5 version and it is coming soon.

              Best regards,

                  OK it worked now.
                  the big question now is:
should i install it without having a dongle? is there a grace period?

In any other context this could be obscene!

lol....just a quick question...do we have any chances on linux drivers for the wibu keys ? they seem to support linux basically, but i assume we need some additional vray lic stuff ? just wondering as then could attach it to a nix box wich usually happens to run more stable and have a better uptime :P

Not yet, unfortunately. We'll be working on setting up the online authorization thingy next.
