Actually photonc he has not stated that his boss is cheap at all , he has stated their trial of other renderers in the past, and just the othe day stated that they will probably buy Maxwell, albeit after it's full release. As far as I can gather the only reason they are using V-Ray is that his boss has tried the others and considers V-Ray the best. The only explanation for his behavior is the very definition of a troll in that he derives his pleasure not from the betterment of the community but rather from inducing turmoil.

I know you guys are just blowing off a little steam but I really wish you all would stop talking about Long John now. The problem is that I read these posts in order to see if there are any bugs or anything that might stop me from using the new release. So, looking through all this stiff about Long John is really quite wastefully.

I have an idea, why don't the people who care about what he says start a Long John thread. Every time you feel like bashing on him you can just go there and do it.

I don't mean to sound bossy. I'm just having a hard time finding the right information within all this noise.

          Thanks for your help,

is your social intelligence so miserable that you guys have nothing better to do then talk about a online persona you all don´t know?

some of you won´t believe that a car is red when the guy who told this has no driving license.

            you fanboys are really funny.

As a paying customer, Long Johnys got a voice.
But I find it funny he still stick with Vray after all
these complaining. If you ain't happy, save the
energies - get a new renderer!
that is a main problem here. some miss the important informations.

im not in the position to decide what to use.
i have to use what all people in my company (try to) use.

we already use brazil for a lot of stuff.
and trust me it´s heaven to use.
not because it´s faster then vray. because it does not crash!!
i don´t have to spend hours to find workarounds for bugs.

as soon as brazil 2.0 will be out we will make a new decision concerning our render pipeline, since then we have to use VRAY.

well, Honestly let's hope that happens fast.

I can understand the situation you are facing at your work, and judging from the amount of frustration it developed , I would advice you to consider changing job/company.. for your own health

In the mean time, would it be to much to politely ask you to stop posting totally irrelevant rumble in so many thread.
I think you've made your point through hundred's of posts polluting this board so far.

we don't deserve it, and I believe many of us are tired of hearing the same unconstructive bashing again and again.
please understand that if you're coming to this forum to gather help, like many of us, someone has to help out...
this board would really benefit, and I 'd be glad to see you becoming one of the helping out people too ...give it a try.

                    thanks

                    thank you.

                        "

Yes, because not all of us have time to drop by - and everytime I come
to visit - i hear you complaining about something

"im not in the position to decide what to use.
i have to use what all people in my company (try to) use."

I think you should have some more influence - you do the dirty work
I'm sure the bosses will listen.

"we already use brazil for a lot of stuff. and trust me it´s heaven to use.

Thats why you should save yourself from the insanities - and us too.
                        Go Brazil.

Its ok just stop the constant banging.

I can't believe the tone of some of these posts. it's a credit to the openess of Vlado and the team that they are still up on the boards. We all know what would happen on the FR forum. I must say I am really disappointed by the over all tone I am seeing in this thread. Most unprofessional. When I used to be on the forums on a regular basis I found this to be the most helpful and professional board I had ever been on. Most disappointing to see such a change.

I must agree, and feel guilty as well. I just could not help but to react to his posts. It would make my life easier if I had the choice of personnally not showing any posts posted by him. It would reduce my temptation to react.

Does anyone know if this is possible through the forum software?

In the mean time I would urge people (including myself) to ignore the posts, this just added fuel to the fire.
