      • I don't suppose anyone's run this test through a core-2-duo yet? I'm interested in the performance of the m65/m90 2Ghz machines.

          • Well here's my new conroe E6600. It's taking about a minute longer than expected compared to other results posted here with similar setup. Should be closer to 3:30.

            INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6600 2.4 GHZ EM64T 1066MHZ
            MSI P965 Neo-F
            2GB CORSAIR VALUE SELECT VS1GB533D2

Setup is stock, no OC. Render was done through backburner and tested twice.

            • Looks like you rendered the 1.47.03 with 1.5RC2, you need to render with either 1.47.03 or download and use the 1.5 version of the benchmark scene.

              • Don't have the render to prove it but we've just had some new render nodes built: Dual woodcrest 5160s with 4GB ram and they rendered in 1.55mins with 1.5RC2. Just opened file and clicked render.

                Pretty darn fast.
                Kind Regards,

                • I built a 6400 and my time was 6:16. Does that seem high?

                  • I definitly used the 1.5 file from
                    http://www.supercreative.co.uk/vray/...estnew_1_5.zip
Just redownloaded it and tried again with the same render time. Kind of dissapointing. Shouldn't be slower through backburner should it? If anything I thought it would be faster.

                      • It might be slower if your network is slow.

                          • 6:16 is high for a 6400.

Check the file/Vray version you've rendered.
Or if it's the case, some mobos need an especific revision nÂș
                            to work properlly.
They read the chip but use it baddly.

                            • I thought so too.

                              Here are my specs:
CPU: C2D E6400 (2.13 GHz) with Arctic Silver under OEM fan
                              MOBO: Intel D975XBX
                              RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR2 Twin2X

Is there something I have to do to the mobo?
