  • Apply modifier on only one face...

Hi Guys ! Good friday to all !

Is someone could explain to me, step by step how to apply any modifier on only one face of a cube or something else ?

I will greatly appreciate ! Thanks in advance !

The Poly Select modifier should do the trick. Note that the object must be an Editable Poly. Basically, add Poly Select, select faces/edges/vertex/elements, and while the selection is active add another modifier to affect only the selected parts.

It was an "Editable Mesh", I convert it to an "Editable Poly"...

But ! I dont know why, the "Vraydisplacemod" is applied to all the object...

In this case, that method won't work. However, activating the "Use object mtl" in the VRayDisplacement options and using a Multi/Sub-Object shader, where only a certain ID has a displacement map plugged will work. Check the attached scene.
