I can understand your concerns about new features and stability; however practically all the new stuff is coming under the form of separate plugins - the V-Ray core is not really changing that much and we are working on ironing out any remaining issues that there are.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

I think its awesome... the fact that you guys have made your code so portable in such a small span of time.

You guys might want to have a look at Mandrake Linux too, very stable and has a lot of Pentium Class optimizations (SSE and stuff). OSX x86 is also coming along very well, but its suppose to work on only Intel processors (could be wrong, but I heard it requires SSE3 to run).

        Great work as usual.

This would be a huge advantage for many. Again - this does not mean that you will have to use it. If you are fine with the MAX material editor - you will be able to use it inside 3ds max.

I hope this clears some of your concerns.
          Hmm...new shading network.
What would one have to do to maybe be part of the direction this would be headed in, feature and UI wise? Would one need to bribe someone, or marry somebody's sister? What would the dowry be?

I think the mother/sister/daughter jokes should stop, that's a sensitive area that is best left alone...

Just found out that AMD has licensed SSE3 technology from Intel and is using it in the AMD Athlon 64 X2 series, so that means people with X2's should be able to run OSX x86.

nvanherpt totally agree about the new frame buffer. It would be awesome if Vlado and the boys incorporate those ideas into Vray!!!!! So sweet!
                            Maybe 1.75?
