    Does the functionality in this thread exist in 3ds Max?
    (with V-Ray native functionality)

    Currently, the V-Ray 3ds Max version node editor seems to have the least functionality.

    VRayBitmaps don't have a native way to do this (unlike OSL: Bitmap Lookup). I suggest you log the idea in the Portal to see if there is interest in such an implementation.

      Currently, it can be replaced with BerconDistortion or OSL, so I won't request a special V-Ray native implementation, but I think it's Chaos' job to make the functionality as uniform as possible on all platforms even if there is no request.

      I think it would be better to close down the Ideas Portal since almost no one is looking at it.
      Instead of Ideas Portal, it would be far more user-friendly to hire someone in the forum to tag feature requests, which could also be implemented by AI.

        have you checked VRayPluginTex/VRayPluginNodeMtl?
        it should contain most non-3dsmax VRay supported features for vrscene conversions.

          I agree, but every platform has a different team caring for its own users' needs.

          We are looking at it, and some decisions are based on the votes there. It's just fairly new.

            However, no functionality related to Texture Remapping properties was found. (I may have missed it though)​

              I may have said a little too much. I will reflect on that.
              It's still a new experiment, and we'll see how it goes for a while.
