This all seems so strange (on the part of Autodesk, not Vray).
My understanding was that Viz2007 is the same program as Max8, minus Charactor studio, Reactor, some other plugins, and no sub-object animation. Map errors and other minor bugs dont seem to make any sense.
Anyway, any further help on these matters are appriciated.

    Regards,
    Mike

Ps... can you upgrade from viz to max without paying the full price ($3,500.00) ?

I just emailed chaos to see if I could get an earlier build. I told what the problem Im having is and also included my user name and passwod.
Any thing else I should have included ?

            Thanks,
            Mike

Have you tried turning on Bitmap Paging? Some maps wouldn't load at rendertime when I opened an older scene in 2007 with the latest build. After turning on Bitmap Paging in the Options - Render panel it seems to be working so far.

Did you have to go back to Backburner 2.3 (from Viz 2006)?

Okay, I got it working. Just so anyone with Viz 2007 needs to know:

                    1. Uninstall the new Backburner and install the last version (2.3).

                    2. Create an empty folder named 'network' in the base Viz2007 folder on every computer in the farm. (this one had me stuck for a while).

                    3. Do the whole create an XML tutorial at Vizdepot. http://www.vizdepot.com/modules.php?...warticle&id=66

                    4. It should work fine now.

Any solid info on the bitmap problem? Has it been fixed?

powerandrubber.....nothing yet, but I have emailed chaos for an earlier build.

Dapeter....I did uninstall version 3 and reinstalled version 2. Works like a champ now.

                        Regards,

Looks like 1.46.15 is the good build to use with Viz still. I wonder if they've been testing 1.5 on Viz yet and if this has been corrected.
