Hi all,
When you solve this problem, can you please post the answer to it? I sometimes have that same problem and am very curious to find out what is creating the problem.
Thanks!
the colo rmapping is high becuase otherwise the image comes out too dark.
what else should I do to increase the amount of light into the scene?
I know I'm late into the conversation, but have you tried using the gamma correction curve located in the V-Ray frame buffer to compensate for dark color mapping results when using Linear Multiply? see example.
Otherwise send the scene to Nikki... or me so we can get your render sorted out.
What bugs me is that scene really shouldnt be so dark as to require color mapping values THAT high. Its go nice big open windows..etc..etc. Maybe try putting some vray lights at the windows set to skylight portal mode or just normal invisible vray lights and lower the color mapping RIGHT down.
I honestly thing thats were the problem is steming from.
I'll give it a try.
One thing I did try is to use LC for both IR and the dirty whent away but made the lighting flat and not so realistic. The issue happens when I use IR for the firt slot in the IL. Maybe that can tell u something.
I'll try now with useing invisible vraylight at the windows and turn down the color mapping. If that fails, I'll send you the file.
