But i have no crash, no bug with history and i don't know why this tool is in SP2 hidden.
Unfortunately, I get a crash when I try to load the images.
Other than that, the VRayIES is working very well, much faster than the standard max photometric. The dark tree materials look interesting, I have to try them out some more. Has the noise threshold changed? I have to test some more, but using the same settings I was using before the render seems to take longer, but now lower settings produce less noise too, so maybe that is the difference.
Hmm... can someone explain what the "hidden" history feature is?
it allows you to save and load images (in vray image format with all channels if any is selected), from and to vfb. as lele says you just need to add a system variable to have it enabled.

just to ask, i guess the vrayIES is optimez for the vrayrender core. that should mean it's a bit faster then the default ies tool in max?
i should give it a test. hmmnm
