Ooh, I have to check this one out.

IES suport is simply great. Fast, and the shadow patterns from the sampling of the actual light shape look stunning even in a boring archviz scene.

Thank you very much for your efforts making VRay better and better!

      Best regards,
      A.

Unfortunately, I get a crash when I try to load the images.

Other than that, the VRayIES is working very well, much faster than the standard max photometric. The dark tree materials look interesting, I have to try them out some more. Has the noise threshold changed? I have to test some more, but using the same settings I was using before the render seems to take longer, but now lower settings produce less noise too, so maybe that is the difference.

Hmm... can someone explain what the "hidden" history feature is?

              Hi, this is fast test.

All physical. I use a great Free 3D library from Italian company LUMINA. 3D Model+IES file

              This a darktree example.

it allows you to save and load images (in vray image format with all channels if any is selected), from and to vfb. as lele says you just need to add a system variable to have it enabled.

just to ask, i guess the vrayIES is optimez for the vrayrender core. that should mean it's a bit faster then the default ies tool in max?
i should give it a test. hmmnm
