  • Z-value??

If I render with the default scanline with z-value it creates a seperate image afterwards which I can save seperatly.

How do I do that with Vray?

The only thing I've seen here when I searched for it is that I can only save the image as *.rpf or *.rla. and not any format that I can open up in Photoshop.

in viz (maybe max too) you have a rendereffect which let you save a buffer into a seperate file.

That's how you do it with the default scanline render but there's not such a thing in Vray. Well it exist but it doesn't work the same way.

i guess the only way is to save out the file using the default renderer with passes and batch render.

Ok forgot to tell you. I actually tried scanline first because I know how it works with the Render Elements but here's the big problem. I use Vray Displacement.

Work in what way? So it pops up a new window with just the depth map?
