  • I don't know what quality you are aiming at but h.264 as codec is usually pretty solid.

        • Just watched your first video - absolutely fantastic.

Seriously. Just from watching it I already learnt a lot.

I'm going to rewatch and play with this over the next few days, and hopefully take a serious look at applying this to my next project, which actually is a nice easy one.

Well, well, done and thanks for all this great effort

          • Yes. I downloaded and watched it, too. Great stuff, and I am looking forward to more. One thing... you mentioned checking, "Use Glossy Rays for Light Cache" and you always check it, but can you explain why? I think, at least for me, I need to know why something is done.

I remember us having conversation about some script where you can automaticaly set the amount of reflective/refractive bounces based on the materials glossiness value.
I that script to be found somewhere ir is it a trade secret of yours ?

It's the one listed here - The lovely Jerome made the function better to work with nested vray materials - http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...169#post551169

Probably an obvious question...but have you subscribed?

I can't keep up with emails / forum user names to real names atm!

                • Nice video, explains everything very clearly.

Now if only I had seen this before spending hours upon hours reading forum threads, dmc sampler explanations and doing tons of testing and figuring it out on my own
Could've saved a lot of time an nerves...

                  Anyway - A+
this stuff should be included with each purchase of Vray!

                  • Why the hell this was not explain so clearly from Day 1?
Just hope it will remain as clear with DMC and other setup on the next video.
