Pretty happy with the BRDF on this. No "detail" textures but it's behaving nicely, hope you guys agree.

Very nice, but It would be great if you can turn off the DOF while testing material. Here, the backface is not clear due to the DOF. Leather are a kind of "double side" material finish, with a rough finish on the back side.

                  • Is that leather procedural, too?

                        • Hi Grant,

I'm having difficulty with the scaling of these materials ?

I'd have guessed looking at that material that it'd be not much larger than my open hand (and no where near 50cm).

I've had that issue with some other materials given also (e.g car paint).

Am I missing something here ?

                          Thanks.

Maybe try that procedural map scale script Grant mentioned early on in thread/emails...

Yep, like voltron said, there is a folder inside the initial shader ball zip which says READ FIRST :P
Covers all those little questions as I run into the same issues day to day. Let me know if you've got any issues still

                              • Who is up for lunch tomorrow?

I'm so fucking pissed, this week has been a write off, first scene problems, then licensing issues, now the DR server is fucked.
Just want to finish the freaking video at this point haha
