I like to leave it on spiral. If you HAVE to cancel the render for whatever reason, at least you have the center part of the render that you can use and easily crop
    Kind Regards,

I'm quite against cropping myself, but I know someone in my unit that would LOVE that idea!!!

Yes I agree with you, which is why I said if you HAVE to for whatever reason.
There can be plenty reasons why you need to cancel a render, or CRASH for that matter. A cropped image is better than NO image
        Kind Regards,

Ha! Its happened to me as well, all of a sudden wondering why it takes so long to render a very small scene.... :S

That is why we'll be disabling the mouse follow at the beginning of progressive rendering in the future

My first reaction was NO!!!!! But then I thought about it.... why have it if it results to be a nuisance more often than not when your mind is somewhere else? So I think it is a good idea, you also have the section render in case you want to see something going on in your scene.... By the way, will progressive be able to be stopped and re-started at last rendering spot? Cause that may be one hell of a change that will make a lot of people happy.

Yes, this is planned - not only for the progressive renderer, but for the bucket renderer too.

                  Best regards,

Hahaha, I was going to request this, but I can see Chaosgroup will already do the necessary steps
