  • is there away to set a particular material not to render?

haven't searched much but i have an object that is one editable poly with different material ids for some faces, especially glass in windows but i would like to have the glass and some other parts not to render, is that possible? i am trying to do that when doing a material override in the global switches slot

You can always add meshselect+deletemesh modifiers to temporarily remove faces that you don't want.

Not that I can think of, unfortunately.

Well, override by material has been on the wishlist for a while, but there are some weird cases that I'm not quite sure how to handle yet. I hope we'll get to it.

            Best regards,
            Vlado
