They are looking good! If something similar can be done for 3dsMax, that would be nice. The ancient ball in the material editor is giving 0 feedback of the actual shader...

just attending to vray4su seminar, the whole asset editor seems super cool; different sample objects and light setup are great but, if I must say, they just appears to me a bit visually incoherent. BTW I'm hoping these news will find their way to max as well.

      • My apologies, but I have to say this lol: Why mitviz keeps making threads about other engines? And whatever answer he gets doesnt get satisfaction or solution out of it? I spent quite sometime trying to help him use rt gpu cause he found it hard (?) and complicated. First was fstorm vs RT now corona vs adv. And makes me wonder... Where do people find time posting all day in forums? Food for thought.
        Peace

        • I guess he likes to experiment... it's not a bad thing. He is quite active on the FStorm forum now, so I guess he has settled down for a bit.

          Best regards,

ok, i did try it, i should tell you wasnt very helpful, stil very laggy, thats vray RT, why do i keep making threads about other engines, because i can, i use them all and i don't have the answers, some people are big fanboys of one engine over another like you , i am not simple as that, i like fstorm for its Rt usage and its simple, i love vray for its speed, i like corona for its speed and ease of use also and i use all three! everyone who knows me knows this and i am about to try redshift. another reason for me talking about other engines also is because i grew up in a free country and parents who taught me to express myself, if i have something to say i just say it, i am active on all forums since vlado checks, less on corona but meanwhile renders are going on i check forums. As for Vray, i should let you know i am one person who led to many purchases of copies of vray and i won't say by who or which companies so you can knock me all you want the owner Vlado has the right to ban be anytime, silence my posts but he hasn't, why idk, but as bad as my posts maybe, people like to read them, especially ones like this. people make posts like this on other forums with no issues they find people like you there all the time. so i hope that answers you? o and i am never satisfied, my wife tells me that all the time

              • I used to be the same way, and I kind of miss the time I had time and energy to keep constant tab on everything out there. Being a cad user I do visualization in periods and usability and interactivity are very high on my priorities, so comparing and being informed on what is out there is a good thing in my view. People like Mitviz probably pushes companies like Chaos a bit too.

                • I wonder if V-Ray would have not become so easy to use if their wasn't new boys on the block like Corona. When I started V-Ray, it was a pain for someone like me, who just wants to create pictures. Now, V-Ray gets out of my way most of the time and I kind of thank the new boys for pushing things forward. Personally, when I tried Corona, which was before V-Ray got easier, I wondered why I wouldn't switch over. Corona was way easier, seemed much faster and was less expensive; it was a no brainer. I stayed loyal to V-Ray and now there isn't a reason for me to leave, which is good. I tried a few other engines and it seems all do basically the same thing. There seems to be a race to the finish line and pretty much most are neck-to-neck, or it seems that way.

I would then like to answer, I do not, but my computer does not so often annoy me like you.

Try to compare the single digit.
                                1 vs 1 = pair
                                0 vs 8 = 8 something slower
