By the way Vlado, what's your take on the 3Delight one? Not sure how useful it is in a more complex scene. But is this "pick-light-to-tweak-from-rendered-highlights" possible in V-Ray?
    always curious...

Anything is possible... you just need to check when you click on a pixel which light select element has the largest color value there and select that light...

      Best regards,
      Vlado

ah....I see. Guess the hint/flash of contributing light (after click on a pixel) is done by fading in & out the corresponding light select's contribution in the frame buffer then?

I would love to have the possibility to select objects or material from the vfb in the future.

I know you guys don't like to hear us talk about the competition on here, but I had a play with the corona lightmix feature for the first time yesterday and I was pretty blown away by it. I can't see how this type of functionality is not extremely useful for almost any industry using vray at the moment. I couldn't care about it for final rendering, but for 'sketching' it's remarkable. Being able to turn a day shot into night in a matter of seconds is remarkably easy, something that has always been a pain in the ass to do.

We don't plan to have a light mixer in a V-Ray 3.x build (note the emphasis on the version ). However, V-Ray 3.6 will feature a "Full" mode for the light select render element, which you can then take into PhotoShop or whatever and adjust. We are also working on making IPR a lot more responsive when changing light sources only.

                  Best regards,
                  Vlado

                    Hi Vlado,
do you plan any beta program for 3.6 like 3.5? and the main focus on 3.6 is RT or IPR? any big and exciting feature? (like adaptive light and live vr in 3.5 or...)
The new frame buffer would be in 4.xx, Am I right?
3.5 was huge game changer in many aspects. hope for 3.6 to be even more awesome.
