      • What about some 1070s? I've been thinking of getting some of those instead of 1080, since some benchmarks from fstorm showed there's very little performance difference between both models (i think it's due to some 1080 memory issue).

Can you post the VFB shot with the stats? and no denoising or post?

          • I would need to re-render for that, I haven't got time now but maybe later

Can someone please tell or point me to learning what GPU rendering cannot do. I work on stills (interiors, products, some exteriors). We use Dual Xeons at work and I have an i7 5960x at home - my understanding is that GPU can not handle quite a lot of texture and effect types (but don't know which ones), so I'd hate to invest in some new hardware only to learn it cannot do what I need it to (of course !).

                  Thanks.

                    • If you'd like, pack up a typical scene of yours and send it over, I'll load it up and send it to render, you'll see if it works or not

                          • Thanks Blagovest - it'd be nice to add to that a list of plug-ins etc that are supported.

There is a section called "3rd party plugins" ?

                              Best,
