Perhaps it's that new adaptive lights feature that you're noticing? It's mentioned here and there's a small video. I haven't tried it yet myself, looks cool:

Yep I'm using a nightly of 3-4 days ago and I think the feature is implemented but with BF/LC it doesn't seem to work. Any more info on this for BF/LC?
Boddy, GPU is always RT GPU as vray does not handle rendering on gou with vray adv.
Unless you where referring to the denoiser being done by the gpu but the rendering on the cpu with vray adv.

Yes, this is the new lighting algorithm for 3.5. It collects some data during rendering and after that it can render more efficiently.
With V-Ray GPU it works with any GI engines setup. If you use LC, the needed scene data is collected during the LC phase and is used since the very first rendering pass.
With V-Ray Adv/CPU, it works if you use Light Cache.
There are no any settings, it will just make the rendering faster.
Bobby, if you are trying to open the links from ForumRunner they will not work, ForumRunner has a bug in its latest versions. Although what you see might be the denoiser, hard to say without scene/video.

Thanks for the explanation Blago
I have a scene here that does not render as soon as I enable the furniture (who is exclusively in vrmesh) and get a red error message in the log saying there is like 35 errors. As the buffer is small, I can't scroll on top to see what the bugs are. I guess I'll have to send this scene to peter and you in ccStan

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but is the beta download missing for anyone else? It was there a few weeks ago.Freelance 3D Generalist
