      Out of curiosity, what was causing the issue? How did it make the machine QUITE so slow? I mean the OS is supposed to be able to prevent that in a preemptive multitasking OS.

        Good question and you are right - the OS is supposed to not allow this. We are not using anything higher than normal for thread priority so it is not supposed to happen. We found that having the new Cloud Collaboration tab in the frame buffer seems to somehow cause the issue so for a quick fix we disabled it for BackBurner renders. We are still trying to pinpoint what exactly causes the freezes..

          Weird, probably something low in MS code for the controls or somesuch (.NET). Glad you found a workaround for now!

            It hadn't happened to me for a while, but with the latest updates of vray 7 the freezes have returned when using backburner
            Any solution on the way?​
