  • Merging objects from a scene made in different units changes the Radius in VRayEdgesTex

If I merge an object from a scene made in different units, the Radius in VRayEdgesTex changes and I have to readjust it. This happens with every scene that has different units, for example when working in a scene with inch units and merging an object made in cm units. It's a pain to readjust the radius every time. Please see the screenshots below.

I keep noticing this as well: https://forums.chaos.com/forum/v-ray...nt-scene-units but also with other maps.

Vladimir tested it and he says he doesn't have it. I didn't have the time to keep testing it, but I still encounter it.

Hi maybe I am doing something different? Please check the tread that Vizioen mentioned and let us know how it goes. Meanwhile I will test again in a simple scene.

Alex how are you merging objects or materials in the scene? Meaning through File > Merge or maybe through Connecter for instance?

I'm doing a regular File > Merge operation.

Any ideas or solutions? The link in the 2nd post doesn't seem to provide any.

Are you sure your geometry has not been scaled or anything? I tried with newly created clean objects and scene and could not find a fault.
