The light acts as a geometric cover onto your window opening, not letting any

Light portal on, light's invisible, the BG @ multiplier 25 shines through, different colours, different distribution...

As far as i understood, that's precisely how it's intended to work, it is no bug.

Sorry, with light portal I mean the complete arealight: please try to turn on/off the lights only without to touch the light portal option.

        cause i m lost here...
in fact...this thread has just beaten another record of silyness...luckyly im part of it!

So there is a bug with the irradiance map and the light portals, which is corrected for the next release.

          Best regards,

that way works exactly in the same way, but for one more thing you unticked :ignore light normals.
Have that on, and when you turn the light into a light portal it will spread light the same way the BG does, instead of shooting it straight into the room (hence the different distribution.)
            No bug.
            edit: what bug?
re-edit: schooled! There IS a difference between Lc/LC and IRmap/LC, with IM it calculates the contribution of the light portal twice, it seems.

That's right, yes. Like I said, it is already corrected.

              Best regards,

Ahah, yes Vlado is fairly quick
Well, I should say welcome aboard then.
Next time, do share the scene file first thing, it will make things easier on you and on us (especially lower the grief range ).
