    Well, I'm now trying to put the main file in the same folder as the xrefs to see if that helps.

      Hm, that's what I said does not work Best to use Asset Tracker to make sure the XRefs all have proper UNC paths.

        asset tracker suprinsingly does not list xrefed objects paths!
        but i confirm so far that xrefed objects work with propper paths (UNC that is)....if i only saw taht back then!

        am testing xrefed scenes atm...will post soon!

              i got it working here!
              Unc paths...xref scene...perfect


              though i cant think of a reason for not being using unc paths back then....

                  I seem to have found a possible solution to the problems I have been having - my max camera was 'broken'. I recreated it and suddenly rendering seems to be working again as normal. Now that's a new one!

                    I remember this could happen if the camera came from one of the XRef files, instead of being in the main file itself.

                      well....
                      in the test i just came up with earlier i rendered from a xrefed cam...and worked fine nonetheless...
