Did you try running a regular backburner job on that machine before that?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hello Vlado,

Yes, I use backburner all the time...
The weirdest (not to say most annoying) thing, is that sometimes DR works, and sometimes it just doesn't.

      thanks,

For the spawner issue specifically, try to disable the viewcube/steering wheel thing (there were some files to rename, but I forget which ones, you can find them on the forum).

Otherwise, the hanging buckets issue I am working on now; it looks like I have a solution, but I need to test a bit more.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

          Dear Matthiew,
Did you fix the problem on this thread:

Can you email me those files xml that you mention on the post?
          Thanks so much.

            Hello,

The problem is partially fixed, but that's after reinstalling pretty much everything from scratch. DR still doesn't kick in from time to time for some unknown reasons on one machine (maybe a RAM issue)...
As for the xml files... I really don't know if that really helped.
Are you sure your machine ping between one another? Are you sure you are using the right IP address (are you using a router?)? ...

            Good luck with fixing this!

yes all computers can see each other on network and can pass file from one pc to another.

I looked at vraylog of slave and it say that it cannot obtain license.
I installed vray-renderslave files to these.
and the port they use is default settings.
I reserved that port to the main pc ip from modem settings.
              are these not right?

sorry I am really dumb about these matters.

                Hello,
I have exactly the same problem as you, I will try to resolve it by following the thread. Everything worked well with MAX8 but the problem occurred since using max 2009.

You can try to rename the file AutoCamMax.gup in the stdplugs folder of 3ds Max to AutoCamMax.gup.off in the render slaves and see if it helps.

                    Best regards,
                    Vlado

                      hi vlado,

                      nothing changed after the renaming...

on one slave i had luck with uninstaling the 9er versions of vray and one slave has another problem. the vray message window says render host added....scene transfered... and usualy then starts render but on one slave nothing happens.
