    Hey there.

    I wanted to use particles for distribution of a simple plane for an ordinary corona effect.


    For unknown reasons, the particle shape instances do not render the opacity correctly. The referenced plane however renders just fine.

    I am not quite sure that this is even a VRay related issue, but you might be able to help me anyways.


    Here is what I get on the particle instances. In the viewport you can see the source plane right next to it, which renders as intended:

    Thank you very much for the feedback.

    I did a quick-test but everything on my side was working as expected.
    Could you please send us your scene - and inform us what 3DSMax and Vray versions you are using.

      It looks like there are duplicate faces there...

        Hey!

        thanks for the help, it was indeed a problem with more then one face at the same position due to errors within the particle distribution
