Vray 3.10.01 - distributed rendering broken?

I am having the same issue. I upgraded the farm with SP3 to remedy one issue and it made another. Looks like there is no simple uninstaller for SP3 either. I contacted vray support and they've pointed me to sales for some reason. Hopefully whoever answers that can get me the patch even if it is temporary.

You can go to your Windows Command Panel and uninstall EXT 2. Sp3 is also listed there under installed plugins. It took almost 2 hours to uninstall it on one of my slaves, but afterwards DR worked again.

So far I have only installed SP3. Have not tried Ext2 yet, which that installer first requires and includes SP3 to install.

Check the autodesk readme for SP3 and Ext2 (link here). Notice the instructions that say 3ds Max will crash after uninstalling SP3 unless you also make changes to or delete Workspace1.se.ini. Don't know if or how this affected the slaves, but they are working now after uninstalling SP3.

till now SP3 seems not to be available as regular DL but only if you are under Subscription so I didn't know anything about it

On my part I did not install max SP3 yet,

And I just confirmed that DR is working with a scene but not working with another scene with "render host is not responding" errors for all slave.

I sent you an email with the problematic scene stripped down to the simplest.

Yes, if you are still on SP2 the DR should work fine.

Thank you for the scene, we just tested it with the stable nightly _25406 and works just fine.
First test was with SP2 and second with SP3, no problem with version 3.10.02.

Please download the nightly build and let us know if you still have issues.

I removed SP3 (not Ext2 - i had not installed that yet) from all my render nodes and now thank goodness they are working again with distributed rendering. As they are just render nodes i did not have to do anything apart from uninstall using windows uninstall. I'll reinstall SP3 as soon as the next patch is available
