The lighting difference of the original issue here is due to a bug in the V-Ray 3 SP1 (3.10) in the Probabilistic lights code.
So if we are updating from 3.0 to 3.20.02 - we will not have issue with IES ? Though we never used Probabilistic lights.

Yes, the issue is only for the SP1 - V-Ray 3.1

We just moved from 3.10.03 to 3.20.02 and found the lighting got messed up with IES lights... so have rolled back to 3.10.03.

Are further fixes coming? Or is this current project not going to render correctly in any VRAY versions from 3.2 onwards?

        What should we do?

If I understand correctly, if the scene has been created in 3.1 it will render incorrectly in any version.

Bug is not in 3.20.02 - it is in 3.10.03 - in earlier versions of VRay your project will render different as well. Looks like the only solution for you is to finish current projects in 3.10 and after that move to 3.2.
We moved from 3.0 to 3.2 and got no issues.

Righto, sounds like we will just have to live with it.

              Thanks all for the help.
