  • Excessive Render Elements 3.40.01

I've noticed that when I add in the Denoiser element, it adds in an additional dozen elements that show up in the VFB but don't show up in the Render Elements list. Is that supposed to happen?

I find it strange as well. I'm not sure why there isn't just the one.

They are used to denoise better the output.

They are needed by the denoiser.

If you select the middle option on the bottom drop box (generate render elements: depending on denoising type) it reduces the file size of the resulting EXR by about half. (at least with all other options on default, eg single pass rgb mode))

It would be nice if we could select which channels of the EXR are saved out regardless. That way we could use the full blown per channel noise mode, and save an EXR that was not more than twice normal size.
