hi,
i`m trying to render a large 30000 pixel image with progressive and even though i set a limit of 15 mins to render it doesn`t quit. it hasn`t gone past pass 0 yet so i`m wondering if another end condition is now taking priority ?
obviously 15 mins isn`t going to be enough time to render this image but i just thought it odd it hasn`t quit yet, it`s now at 23mins but still estimating 15 mins. my pc has only 32gb and it seems like it`s using a lot more memory than that. i can see the image updating although painfully slowly, i presume it`s because it`s paging to the hd a lot.
in bucket mode there`s no problem and it`s only using 9gb of memory to render. should progressive use that much more ? it`s not a big scene at all just some curvy cylinders.
BF/LC 3.40.03
thanks
anthonyh
edit: figured out the memory use might be down to rendering the whole image at once ?
