but you have 3 object in 2 proxies so it correct in your example, if you have more objects in one proxy crypto will show just one object not all object in proxy

+1, not only access to individual objects, but also to individual material ids via cryptomatte.

Sorry guys, my bad. We have Crypto + MultiSubObject material implementation WIP which more or less workarounds the sub-proxy thing. Will this work for you?

It was originally developed by the V-Ray for Maya team and this is why it got there first, similar to how a lot of things make it to V-Ray for Max before in other DCCs. Our resources are not unlimited and it will take time, but eventually you'll see it in some release.

Please let us know when that implementation enters the nightly builds so we can test it out and give some feedback. Thanks!

                    Hey guys,

We are about to start the implementation of the new extras for the proxy in Max, but I have a question for you that need clearing before we start.

Are you using VRayProxy's Object ID visibility lists? In case you are, will you miss them if you already have the hierarchy tree like in V-Ray for Maya?

We use them to check if the IDs coming from other softwares are matching. If there's a similar functionality in the hierarchy tree there's no problem.

Currently the list update both for object id and object name is very buggy and sometimes it won't update at all if the abc has an update. Hopefully this gets fixed in the new proxy.

We dont use object Ids visibility, because it was bugged that time we need them. Direct access to objects and ther materials like in maya version is much more better. Like I said before if Proxy will work like a container so you can select and assign materials directly in viewport that will be awesome.

Nothing yet. I'll keep in mind that there are volunteers for early testing, though
