  • vrayhdri map only accepts .hdr files

I wish the vrayhdri map would accept exrs as well as floating point tiffs.

You can use the regular 3ds Max Bitmap texture for this; we originally created VRayHDRI as 3ds Max could not open .hdr files. However since version 8 it can do this, and if you do not use the additional mapping types of VRayHDRI, you can use a regular 3ds Max bitmap instead.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

That's just it, i frequently use your Mirror Ball setting for my mirror ball images. Any way the vrayhdri map can be opened up to exrs?

.exr yes; tiff is somewhat more complicated.

cool. We rarely use TIFF's anyways. We mostly use exrs.
